Rare and sought after set of six George I silver gilt Hanoverian rat-tail teaspoons. Britannia Standard.
Maker: Andrew Archer. London circa 1720.
The tip of the stems are engraved with a contemporary crest of a stork standing on a Cap of Maintenance.
The base of the stem of each spoon is stamped with the Britannia Standard mark and the makers mark.
The length of these spoons makes them very useful to go with after dinner coffee cups (demi-tasse} etc.
Length: 4.7 inches (11.94cm)
Weight: 2.3 troy ounces (70.4 grams) the set of six.
