Delicate and enchanting Tudor16th century gold posy ring. The gold is of a very high grade and is a pale lemon colour. Circa 1560. This ring was probably made during the reign of Elizabeth I, if not a little earlier. The outside of the ring is chased and engraved with shell-like scrolls interspersed by the Tudor rose. The contemporary inscription on the inside of the ring is very clear and reads:- I LIKE MI CHOYSE.

In spite of its apparent delicacy, this ring has survived in such excellent condition that it has obviously been cherished and would make a wonderful gift.
