Decorative early GEORGE III circular snuff box with pull off lid applied with Old Sheffield Plate flowers and leaves.
Unmarked. Probably made in Birmingham. Circa 1760s.

The pull-off lid is made of tortoiseshell with entwined Old Sheffield Plate flowers and leaves.
The sides of the lid and the base of the box are applied with Old Sheffield Plate, while the centre of the tortoiseshell base is decorated with a circular feather and floral design.
