Rare set of five late 17th Century Miniature Silver Toy Tea Bowls. Circa 1685.

£2,900

Delightful, rare set of five late 17th Century miniature silver toy tea bowls of good gauge.
Maker's mark only I.F in a shield with star below. Circa 1685.

These tea bowls have a plain circular tapering form with a good patina and are very well made.
The maker's mark is struck on the reverse of the base and is clearly visible on three and easily discernible on the other two.
For a similar or perhaps the identical items see, Victor Houart, L'Argenterie miniature, Office du Livre, 1981, page 176, plate 215.

These charming miniature bowls are in extremely good condition and are very tactile. They would grace any dolls house.
