Very attractive pair of GEORGE II sterling silver gravy boats of generous weight.
Maker: William Robertson. London 1752.
Each sauce boat is on three shell feet and the handle is joined to the bowl with a feather design and an attractive and unusual handle strengthener.
Both sauce boats are engraved with initials beneath the lip.
The full set of hallmarks are very clearly stamped on the underside of the body.
Length: 5.6 inches (14.2cm) - with handle 7.5 inches (19.05cm)
Width: 3.4 inches (8.6cm)
Weight: 18 troy ounces (560 grams) the pair.
