Beautifully fashioned William IV silver mounted Cowrie shell snuffbox.
Circa 1825. Marked with makers mark only, IR is stamped on the inside of the lid and is possibly John Reilly.
The silver mount has a floral border. The lid lifts up with a hidden hinge. The cartouche on the lid is very decorative with a central shell and flowers on both sides and is engraved Percy Wood Esq.
This a very attractive piece in crisp and excellent condition.
