GEORGE III Pair Sterling Silver Buckles William Harrison. Circa 1770

Crisp pair of GEORGE III sterling silver buckles.
Maker: William Harrison (listed as a buckle maker in the Parliamentary Report, 1773).
London circa 1770.
These buckles are fashioned in the bright cut style in order to make them sparkle. They are shaped with intertwined bands and one large flower on the right and left with a smaller flower at the top and the bottom. The buckles are curved, probably for use on shoes.
The lion passant and makers mark are stamped on the reverse of both buckles.
18th Century buckles are highly collectible and these charming ones would grace any collection.
