Elegant and interesting GEORGE III silver gilt small serving fork which also incorporates the properties of a spoon.
Maker: George Smith. London 1797.
Although this item looks as though the prongs have been cut out of a spoon, this is perfectly genuine and has been intentionally made as a multi- purpose serving article.
The full set of hallmarks and makers mark are clearly stamped on the reverse side of the stem.
