Very attractive and classic George III sterling silver gadroon edge chamber stick of very good gauge, complete with snuffer.



William Stroud was a specialist chamber stick maker and all his skill is reflected in the beauty of this item.



The family crest of an eagle with spread wings and Scottish motto above SPERO are clearly stamped on the upside of the base, the nozzle and snuffer.



The full set of hallmarks and makers mark are clearly stamped on the reverse of the base. The collar of the nozzle and the side of the snuffer are both stamped with the Georgian head, the lion passant, the date mark and the makers mark.
