Attractive pair of early Victorian silver gilt fiddle thread & shell pattern serving spoons by Mary Chawner.
Made in London in 1840 by Mary Chawner. Presumably the widow of William Chawner II, who died one month before she entered her mark as spoon maker.
The spoons are engraved with a contemporary crest - possibly Baron Howard of Glossop.
Very good condition.
