Charming Victorian silver gilt dessert spoon with a very decorative stem.
Made in Sheffield in 1850 by Aaron Hadfield.
The diagonally twisted stem is decorated with scrolling leaves. The spoon finial, in the shape of a shield is engraved with Amy in gothic script.
The reverse of the shield is engraved with the roman numerals for 1850 in gothic script. The base of the reverse of the bowl is decorated with a stylised shell.

This is a delightful spoon and possibly a one off design and would make a lovely present.
