GEORGE III Sterling Silver Pint Beaker by Richard Sibley. London 1815

GEORGE III Sterling Silver Pint Beaker by Richard Sibley. London 1815

£875

Elegant GEORGE III sterling silver pint beaker of good weight.
Maker: Richard Sibley. London 1815.

The beaker is plain apart from a crest of a stylised Tudor Rose which is possibly for Dorville or Dupre. Both of these names have been found as a direct match for the crest on the beaker and neither has a motto listed against the entry.
The full set of hallmarks and the makers mark are stamped near the rim. These are slightly rubbed but legible.
This is a pleasing piece of silver in its simplicity and generous weight.
