George III Pair of Old Sheffield Plate Wine Coolers

Smart and highly sought after pair of George III barrel shaped Old Sheffield Plate wine coolers.
Circa. 1810-20.
These wine coolers are complete with a removable lead liner held in place by an Old Sheffield Plate collar.
A contemporary family crest of a spotted wild cat is engraved on the side of each wine cooler. The base of each cooler is stamped with a pictorial makers mark of a phoenix. One cooler is stamped with a figure 1 on the collar as well as the base of the body. The other cooler is stamped with a figure 2. This style of wine cooler is the most desirable but hard to find.
When not used for cooling wine they look very impressive filled with flowers.
