Plain and elegant George III sterling silver helmet-shaped cream jug on square foot. Made in London in 1793 by Samuel Meriton. The jug has a band of reeding below the rim and is engraved on the front with contemporary script initials JME within a reeded oval. The full set of very clear hallmarks are stamped on the underside of the square foot
