Uncommon set of six GEORGE III sterling silver teaspoons of good weight.
Makers: William Eley & William Fearn London 1807.
These fiddle pattern teaspoons were probably part of a set of 12 or more and it is unusual that they have not been split into sets of four or pairs. They are all
engraved with the same contemporary family crest of a head and shoulders of a stag looking right. All the bowls are gilded but some are more faded than others.
The full set of hallmarks and the marker's mark are clearly stamped on the reverse of the stem, as well as the same apprentices mark
Today these spoons can be used for serving sauces and condiments in small bowls.
