Beatifully simple and of a very good weight GEORGE III sterling silver skewer.Makers: Thomas and William Chawner. London 1764.The front is engraved with a contemporary family crest of the left front claw of a beast. The reverse is remarkable for the extreme crispness and sharpness of the hallmarks and also of the marker's mark and the skewer is finished off with a simple ring at the end.
