Beautifully engraved sterling silver Victorian hip flask with screw on lid and detachable cup.
Makers: Yapp & Woodward. Birmingham 1854.
One side of the flask is engraved with a hunting scene of hounds chasing a rabbit. The scene is surrounded by scrolling foliage which continues around the rest of the flask.
The full set of hallmarks are stamped on the base of the flask and the inside base of the cup is also hallmarked. There is a hallmark hidden beneath the cork on the lid.
This is a really beautiful item that would grace any table or shelf when not in use.
