Very crisp GEORGE I Britannia Standard silver mug of extremely good weight.

The full set of hallmarks are struck beneath the lip on the right of the handle.
The family crest is very decoratively engraved.

David Willaume I was one of the leading Huguenots in England at this time. He had the patronage of the wealthiest clients from the last part of William III to the end of George I's reign.
His work was renowned for rich design and impeccable execution.
