Rare and very attractive GEORGE III sterling silver double beaker in the form of a barrel.
Makers: Charles Aldridge and Henry Green. London 1772

This type of double beaker was made for just a few years between 1765 and 1800.
Each beaker is hallmarked on the base and has a contemporary family crest near the upper rim. The inside of both beakers is gilded.
These beakers are of a very good weight and sit comfortably in the hand. When fitted together the beakers are ideal for travelling.
